The Heart of Preemie Genie
I never expected to become a NICU mom. But at just 28 weeks, I welcomed my son, Jackson, an entire trimester earlier than planned. My world changed in an instant, and for nearly three months, we called the NICU home—an experience made even more isolating by the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic and a 10-month-old daughter at home.
The beeping monitors, late-night worries, and the overwhelming uncertainty became part of my daily life. Like so many parents, I faced the fear and heartbreak of leaving the hospital without my baby, the frustration of setbacks, and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with having a preemie. But enduring this during COVID meant even fewer support systems, limited visits, and a world of uncertainty without the comfort of loved ones nearby.

Through it all, I learned that NICU parents need more than medical updates. We need guidance, emotional support, and a community that understands. I created Preemie Genie, a resource to empower NICU families with practical advice, heartfelt stories, and expert-backed insights.
Here, you'll find NICU survival tips, preemie parenting resources, and a blog—The No Drama Preemie Mama—where I share this journey's raw, real highs and lows.

Whether you're in the NICU now or adjusting to life after discharge, you’re not alone.
